A 46-year-old woman carrying drug paraphernalia in her purse was arrested during a traffic stop Dec. 7 after a background check revealed she had two warrants for her arrest for fleeing and eluding and possession of cocaine.
Police pulled over a Mercury Grand Marquis at 7 p.m. near Lonyo and Warren for having a burned out tail light.
When officers performed a background check on the woman, who was a passenger in the car, it revealed she had the warrants for her arrest out of the Third Circuit Court and the 19th District Court.
When they searched her purse, police found several syringes, a crack pipe, and other miscellaneous drug paraphernalia, according to a report.
The driver was released and the passenger was booked at the police station on drug paraphernalia charges.
