Police are on the lookout for a man who allegedly pulled up to the scene of an argument between his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend, shot the 24-year-old man, then fled on foot early Thursday morning on Detroit’s west side.
The shooting took place just after 1 a.m. in the area of Plymouth Road and Heyden, just west of Evergreen.
Police say the woman, 23, was arguing with her boyfriend, 24, when her former boyfriend showed up.
The man “became angry and began shooting,” police said in a statement.
The male victim suffered a graze wound.
The suspect, whose age and description were not immediately offered, fled the scene on foot. Rouge Park is about a half-mile west of the shooting scene.
