German teenager who joined Isis is too young to be executed in Iraq

A German teenager who ran away to join Islamic State and was captured by Iraqi forces in Mosul has been sentenced to six years in jail by a Baghdad court.
Linda Wenzel, from Pulsnitz, near Dresden, was 15 when she told her mother she was going to spend the weekend with a friend but instead made her way to Syria after striking up a relationship online with a jihadist. Wenzel, who is now 17, received five years from a juvenile court for joining a terrorist organisation and an extra year for entering Iraq illegally, German media reported.
