    Non-Fatal Shooting Investigation

    Dearborn, Mi. – On January 15, 2020, at approximately 3:00 am, the Dearborn Police responded to the 24000 block of Boston on report of a shooting.  Responding officers discovered that a 24-year-old male had been transported from the scene to an area hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds prior to their arrival.  The victim in this incident is currently listed in critical condition.


    Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to identify, gather evidence, and canvas the area for potential witnesses.


    The Dearborn Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance locating 25-year-old Jimmy L. Mitchell, 5’11”, 160 lbs., brown eyes and black hair. Jimmy Mitchell has been identified as a person of interest.  He is known to frequent Detroit, Hamtramck, and Dearborn Heights.  Mitchell is considered armed and dangerous.

    The fact a person has been arrested or charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
