IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM DEARBORN COMMUNITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REGARDING RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY TAXES:
Over the last 18 months, our council has been involved in ongoing discussions with the Assessor’s Office and the Mayor to address unfair and very high property assessments and taxation in Dearborn.
As a continuation to those efforts, Dearborn Community Council has agreed with one highly reputable and well accomplished law firm to represent our appeal cases at the Michigan Tax Tribunal (MTT). One law firm representing all residents will give us a clear advantage and help us deliver a unified message to the tribunal. Furthermore, we can leverage our numbers to decrease costs of appraisals and lawyer commission. There is no cost to initiate the appeal process. Law firms will typically charge a percentage of what the taxes are reduced by.
If you need any assistance or if you are interested in appealing your property taxes in Dearborn, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
