Turkey found the organizer of the murder of Russian Ambassador Andrei Karlov

The death of the head of the Russian embassy in Ankara, Andrei Karlov, in December 2016 acquired a new sound after the Turkish judicial authorities issued a warrant for the arrest of the customer of this crime. According to the court, this is Fethullah Gülen, a well-known Islamic preacher, writer and public figure, who has long been called the main enemy of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan .
The investigation showed that it was Gulen who gave the order to kill Karlovduring the opening of the photo exhibition ” Russia from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka through the eyes of the traveler” in Ankara . The ambassador was shot by a police officer Mevlut Altintash,
Gülen himself has been living in the US since 1999, hiding from the Turkish authorities. At home, he is also accused of creating anti-government structures to prepare a coup and overthrow the government.
“We have good relations with Turkey, and Moscow has not presented any claims to Ankara about the murder of Ambassador Karlova initially,” the Turkologist Yevgeny Bakhrevsky told Komsomolskaya Pravda. – I think that Gulen’s factor is more irritant in Turkey’s relations with the US, because it’s where the escaped preacher is hiding. But this is a long-lasting factor, and it will harm relations between Washington and Ankara for a long time.
Not surprised by this version: suspicions and even individual evidence appeared a year ago. At the same time, Gülen is a very comfortable figure to write off any political problems, as, incidentally, to the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK). It is noteworthy that such statements appear on the eve of Vladimir Putin’s visit to Turkey. Thus, Ankara demonstrates that it has found the guilty and is able to cover up the omissions of its own special services. Although the Kremlin and Smolenskaya Square are unlikely to believe this, Gülen’s demonization benefits Russia: in the event of the non-extradition of the preacher, tension between Turkey and the US will persist. As for the real culprits of the murder, we probably will not soon find out about them. According to my personal version, the crime is “Dzhebhat an Nusra” (banned inRF terrorist organization – Ed.), Which was at that time knocked out of Aleppo. The murderer, Mevlut Altyntash, during his cynical act directly stated: “This is for you for Aleppo.”
In the evening on Monday in the Turkish capital in a literal sense “on the battle post” the Russian ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov died. 62-year-old diplomat arrived at the center of contemporary art for the opening of the exhibition “Russia through the eyes of the Turks”
but the investigation has already arrested seven people, including three policemen and the organizer of the exhibition.
