    Dearborn Heights police looking for 2 suspects in connection with alleged gas station tobacco theft

    The Dearborn Heights Police Department is looking for two people who allegedly took part in the theft of tobacco from the BP gas station at 27280 Cherry Hill.

    The suspects are a black man and a black woman, both between the ages of 20-25, according to a statement released by the department. The man stands between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches. The woman is about 5 feet 2 inches tall. The pair left in a black 2016-18 GMC Terrain or Acadia.

    Police released one photo of each suspect as they were each captured on video at the scene of the alleged incident.

    According to the statement, the woman asked the clerk for tobacco and the clerk placed it on the counter. She then asked the man if he had money and he walked to the exit and opened the door. At that point, she allegedly grabbed the tobacco and ran out the door and both suspects fled in the vehicle.
