ACCESS was able to serve over 1200 food boxes to families that contained fresh produce, dairy and meat/poultry, and over 800 meals to children along with 250 goodie bags that included school supplies, hygiene products, coloring books, household and kitchen items, masks and sanitizers. The bags also included ACCESS educational resources on COVID safety, open enrollment and health insurance, diabetes prevention, mental health and substance use resources and voter rights information.
U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell and representatives of Senator Sylvia Santana office also stopped by to pass out coloring books for kids and information on voting rights and engagement. ACCESS was also able to collect over 200 pledges to vote in the upcoming election.
