Google Maps reveals ‘alien structures’ deep in desert

The satellite imaging service has unearthed many of the world’s mysteries, including ghosts and the Loch Ness Monster.
And its latest set of snaps, taken from the desert east of Cairo, rank among the most bizarre.
YouTube channel SecureTeam10 claims the odd markings in the picture are the remains of alien buildings.
In the video, which has been viewed more than 1 million times, shows a two pointed structure, similar to an open pair of scissors.
The structure is also surrounded by a number of circles.
Narrator Tyler Gluckner said: “Some people have said this is an entrance to a secret military base of some sort, or possibly parking a tank or artillery position.
“But I’m not so sure about that. It looks like there’s some freemason symbolism to these structures, I’ve never quite seen any structures that look like this.”
He also adds that the structures look to lead deep into the underground.
Commenters have flooded the video with theories about the origins of the structure, ranging from a secret base to a solar power factory.
Jen B wrote: “Each circle has three entrances and all are unique from each other.
Super Grover added: “It’s clearly an alien base.”
Long Shadow also wrote: “Strangely, there aren’t really any roads or heavily used vehicle tracks leading to the entrances.”
A Google maps image from Snowdonia, Wales, had conspiracy theorists claiming short markings were left by aliens.
And a shocked woman claims to have spotted enormous alien formations towering over a mountain on Google Maps in the Scottish Highlands.
