Whatsapp is giving some ‘lucky’ users a very cool new feature

Whatsapp is about to test out a cool new update on a few selected users. The messaging app is finally going to let people conduct group video chats, which means they will be able to talk to more than one person at once. However, there’s a major catch. It’s believed the update will not be rolled out immediately and its release will be staggered, meaning you may have to wait a while to get it unless you’re one of a few people who’ve been chosen to test it. That’s according to the ever-reliable WABetaInfo, a website which tests out the beta versions of Whatsapp’s software.
April Fools’ joke It tweeted: ‘Group video chats are available for a few users only. ‘You need to be very lucky. To have a chance of getting an early look at group chats, you’ll need to sign up to become a Whatsapp beta tester, which you can do by clicking here. It’s a bit more difficult to use beta software on iPhone, because you’ll have to ‘jailbreak’ your device. The new feature works on iOS 2.18.52 and also for Android beta 2.18.145+.
