Wallet with $1,400, credit cards and more returned to owner with nothing missing

A man called the police at about 9:30 a.m. Feb. 11 after he realized someone had taken his wallet that he had dropped at Tim Hortons, 10005 Warren, in Dearborn.

The man had been in the store earlier in the morning when he dropped his wallet. When he returned it was gone.

The store manager watched the tape and saw a young Arabic man pick up the wallet and put it in his pocket.

In addition to about $1,400 in cash, there was an ID, credit cards and a concealed carry pistol license.

During a follow up interview with the man who’s wallet went missing, he notified police that it had been returned to him, with all of it’s contents a few hours after he made the police report.
