Police stopped traffic for a man traveling more than twice the posted speed limit in a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro at about 9:45 p.m. June 5 in the area of Telegraph Road and Cherry Hill.
Officers said the man was traveling around 100mph in a 45mph zone.
It took officers several traffic lights to catch up with the man due to the flow of traffic and his average speed.
During that chase, officers watched the man quickly change course without signaling several times.
During the stop, the man told officers that people in a convertible were yelling at him at a traffic light and he was “trying to get away” from them.
There were no related complaints filed with 9-1-1.
The man was cited for reckless driving and driving without proof of registration.
