President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Kuwait on Tuesday on an official visit. Erdogan was welcomed by Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Khalid al-Hamad Al Sabah.
The large delegation that accompanies the Turkish President is comprised of Chief of the General Staff Hulusi Akar, Justice Minister Abdulhamit Gul, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci and Energy Minister Berat Albayrak. The President in also accompanied by his wife, Emine Erdogan,
The agenda of the talks includes regional and international developments, as well as bilateral relations between Turkey and the Gulf countries.
Turkey sides with Qatar in the Gulf crisis that includes Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the U.A.E. and Bahrain. The four countries have cut diplomatic and trade ties with Qatar in June, accusing Qatar of supporting terrorist groups, with Doha strongly denying the allegations.
