    The first direct flight between Moscow and Baghdad was set after a 14-year break

    Russia’s international airport “Domodedovo”, Moscow, on Tuesday scheduled a direct flight to Russia’s Red Wings to Baghdad on June 20.

    The Russian company “Red Wings” received a permit from the Iraqi Ministry of Transport to conduct direct flights between Moscow and Baghdad.

    The Iraqi airline “Iraq Air” launched its first direct flights between Baghdad and Moscow, in September 2017, after a break of 14 years.

    Air contact with Iraq was suspended in 2004 due to inadequate air safety.
