A resident of the Italian city of Asti escaped house arrest and tried to force the police to arrest him to escape his mother-in-law, Libero newspaper reported.
The newspaper revealed that the 52-year-old man was sentenced to two years and two months in prison, after he asked to be transferred to the detention system, so that he would not remain under house arrest with his mother-in-law.”
This “strange” request was rejected by the authorities, which prompted him to flee his home, while the police searches did not take much time, as the “fugitive” appeared of his own free will in the barracks.
The man was not satisfied with escaping, as the police did not acquiesce in the man’s continuous requests to arrest him, so he kicked and punched one of them. The man expressed his apology to the investigating judge for what happened, acknowledging that he “excessively drank alcohol and did not remember anything, but now he only hopes to go to prison.”
