    Hamtramck is giving filters to residents due to the high results of lead in some drinking water samples

    Another city in Michigan is giving out filters to residents due to elevated lead findings in some drinking water samples.

    Hamtramck, in the Detroit area, has an area of ​​2 square miles (5.2 km²) and is home to 28,000 people, many of whom are immigrants from Bangladesh, Yemen, and other countries.

    City Manager Kathleen Angerer said 700 filters were distributed on Thursday and another 900 will be distributed next week.
