    Charges dropped against a Detroit police officer accused of shooting rubber bullets at photojournalists

    Charges against a Detroit police officer who was facing a decade in prison for shooting three news photographers with rubber bullets during a protest in May 2020 were dismissed during a court hearing on Tuesday.

    Daniel DeBono had three criminal charges against each victim allegedly shot with rubber bullets during a protest in Detroit. During Tuesday’s court hearing, the charges were dropped with bias. This means that he cannot be charged.
