In a strange scene… a lioness accompanies a young calf in a reserve in Africa

A video clip has captured the strange behavior of a lioness in a Tanzanian reserve that led a small calf into its herd.

The official account of the national parks in Tanzania posted a video on Twitter, showing a lioness walking alongside a small wild calf, in the Serengeti Reserve.

In an interview with the BBC, a spokesman for the National Parks Authority in Tanzania, Pascal Chilotet, described the video as embodying “the superiority of the maternal instinct over the spirit of predation.”

And healthy adult lions need to consume between 11 to 16 pounds of meat per day (between 5 to 7.5 kilograms), according to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”.
