Thief Uses Stolen Debit Card at Dearborn Heights Party Store !!

A wallet was stolen out of a truck parked in the 600 block of Centralia overnight between Nov. 15 and 16, and the thief attempted to use a stolen debit card hours later at a local party store.

The 60-year-old resident told police his son parked his Ford F-150 in the driveway at 8 p.m. Nov. 15.

At 8 a.m. the next morning, he looked outside and noticed the passenger door was slightly ajar and that his son’s wallet was missing from the truck.

Inside the wallet was the son’s social security card, debit card and family pictures.

At 6:30 a.m., the debit card was swiped at an ATM at the 25 Hour Party Store, 26017 Michigan Ave., but the thief didn’t know the correct pin number so the card was declined.

The resident later found the family pictures that were inside the wallet torn up and left on the ground just north of his house on Centralia.
