Men Arrested for Breaking into Fiesta Gourmet & Deli in Dearborn

Three men were arrested Nov. 16 after police caught them breaking into Fiesta Gourmet & Deli, 6860 Schafer.

Police responded to the restaurant at 10 p.m. on a security alarm call and observed the receiving garage was partially open.

When police entered the business, they found the three men, two in their 30s and one age 26, sitting in a back office.

One of the men told police that all three were at a local hookah lounge when they observed the deli’s garage door open.

Neither of the men could name the hookah lounge, and one of them told police he was a former employee at the deli and that he called the owner to inform him that the door was open.

He told police that the owner gave him and his two friends permission to enter the building and secure it.

Police contacted the owner, who arrived on scene and told police he never gave anyone permission to go inside his business.

The office that police found the men in was rummaged through, but the owner could not tell if anything was stolen.

All three men were arrested and charged with breaking and entering.
