Suhoor bill with popular Egyptian foods raises controversy, so what is the story?

A picture of a Suhoor bill in a restaurant in the Fifth Settlement in Egypt caused a widespread controversy, due to its high price.

The price of the suhoor meal amounted to more than 16 thousand pounds (more than 800 dollars), which is a large number, especially since the meal contains popular types of Egyptian food, including beans, falafel, eggs, potatoes and cheese.

During the past hours, the image of the exorbitant bill roamed social networking sites between irony and surprise, and the question about the reason for its high price.

Mahmoud Al-Badri, nicknamed "the richest young man in Egypt", who works in the field of electronic marketing, revealed the scenes of the huge suhoor, saying: "Suhoor is normal and there is nothing special, and the number is huge because it is suhoor for 13 people, and each person paid 1200 pounds."

In a statement to "Masrawy", Mahmoud expressed his dissatisfaction with the value of the service, which exceeded 40% and reached 5,000 pounds of the value of the bill, which prompted him to publish the image of the bill on one of the groups on social media.

As for the ingredients of suhoor, Mahmoud Al-Badri said: "It consists of beans, ta'mia, yogurt, tea and coffee, and the price of a cup of tea reached 50 pounds."
