36-year-old stabbed to death after argument between 2 Oakland County men

A 36-year-old was stabbed to death after an argument between two men in Oakland County, officials said.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 22) in the 600 block of West Huron Street in Pontiac.

Detectives said a 62-year-old Pontiac man and Larry James Lewis-Lefler, 36, of Waterford Township, got into an argument.

The 62-year-old man pulled out a knife and stabbed Lewis-Lefler in the chest, according to police. Lewis-Lefler ran away, but collapsed about 50 yards away, authorities said.

He was taken to a nearby hospital and died from his injuries early Friday morning, about six hours after the attack.

Officials arrested the 62-year-old man about 30 minutes after the stabbing at his home on Monroe Street in Pontiac.
