A doctor warns: The midday sun may infect humans with phototoxicity

Dr. Hani Al-Nazer, an Egyptian dermatologist, warned against direct exposure to sunlight during the afternoon; for its harmful effect on the skin.

The former head of the National Research Center explained, in televised statements, that the body in general needs sunlight to obtain vitamin D in particular, which strengthens bones, but this need does not justify that a person is exposed to sunlight during the afternoon; Because this negatively affects the skin and the body in general. The beholder prefers that exposure to the sun’s rays be some time before sunset so that its rays are less dangerous and hot, and their negative effects on the skin and human health are significantly less.

And about the direct risks that noon sunlight can cause, Al-Nazer pointed to the risk of dermatitis and phototoxicity, and it may even lead to burns.

Hani Al-Nazer advised to wear cotton clothes when temperatures rise to reduce the risk of sunlight on the body, and not to contact the sun directly with the skin.
