A judge in Saravan, southeastern Iran, survives an assassination attempt

The judge of the second branch of the investigation court in the city of Saravan in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan, southeast of Iran, on Friday evening, survived an assassination attempt against him by unknown assailants.


Sarawan City Governor Saeed Tjalili said in a statement that the judge of the second branch of investigation at the court in Sarawan city, Mahdi Fani Khalilabad, was subjected to an assassination attempt by unknown assailants, but fortunately survived this incident.


He added that the security forces are currently working to identify those involved in the incident.
