A new service from “WhatsApp” for business owners

The WhatsApp application revealed a new way to attract business owners through a service that facilitates the communication of service providers with their customers.

The company, "Meta" (formerly Facebook), owner of the application, announced, on Thursday, the "WhatsApp Cloud API" service, as part of the company's efforts to achieve profits, in addition to the ads displayed on its platforms, Facebook and Instagram.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said it was "an important step in helping businesses connect easily with people and helping more people connect with the businesses they want to support." The company had bought the messaging application in 2014, but "WhatsApp", which is widely known worldwide, did not bring the company any revenue.

When he bought WhatsApp, Zuckerberg said that commercial advertisements via the application would not be the best way to monetize the application.

WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum left his position in 2018, due to the parent company's eagerness to obtain users' personal information despite the application's commitment to privacy policies.
