Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko withdrew from her quarter-final match at the Slovenian Tennis Championships, Portoroz, against the 2022 Wimbledon champion, Kazakh Yelena Rybakina, of Russian origin.


"I am very sorry, because due to injury, I was not able to play in the quarter-final match in beautiful Portoroz," the WTA Press Service quoted Lesia Tsurenko as saying. "I hope to come back next year," the Ukrainian added. It is expected that Yelena Rybakina, born in Moscow in 1999, will meet in the quarter-finals of the tournament, with Romanian Anna Bogdan, who defeated the Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maya, second seed, by two sets to one, the details of which are as follows: (6-1) and ( 1-6) and (7-5) in the match that took place between them on Friday.
