Carlos Queiroz, coach of the Egyptian national team, has
officially ended his contract with the Pharaohs.
Senegal qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar by defeating
Egypt on penalties, after the two-legged tie between them in the World Cup
qualifiers ended in a 1-1 draw.
Ahmed Mujahid, head of the former temporary committee for
the management of the Football Association, who contracted Queiroz to coach the
Egyptian national team, revealed the details of the Portuguese coach's contract
with the Pharaohs.
Mujahid said in previous statements on December 12, 2021,
that Queiroz's contract with the Egyptian national team continues until
December 18, 2022, which is the day of the end of the World Cup in Qatar. In
the event that the Egyptian national team does not qualify for the World Cup,
the contract ends automatically.
