An 8-year-old is getting ready for college!!

Vice President of the Russian Academy of Education, Gennady Onishchenko, responded to news that the brother of Alisa Tyblakova, who became a student at Moscow University at the age of 9, is also preparing to enter the same university.

He said that gifted children should have special curricula. Enrolling in university at the age of 8 and following the fate of his sister, who entered Moscow University at the age of 9, is a road to impasse.  It is noteworthy that Alisa Tyblakova became famous in Russia after she was able to enroll in Moscow State University two years ago at the age of 9.

Her 8-year-old younger brother Heimdall is now preparing to enter university after he passed the Unified State Examination and obtained his secondary education certificate.

"If the boy finishes university, it will mean that he will be deprived of childhood," the academic said. He added, "Suppose he will study mathematics at home, and perhaps he will publish some articles in his specialty. But that does not mean anything, as he is deprived of childhood and the natural physiological development that will inevitably lag behind his mental development."
