A student finds a simple and cheap way to talk to plants and animals

The student, Benjamin Choi, invented a robot in the form of a human arm that is controlled by the power of thought.

He was helped by 6 of his volunteer friends during the lockdown period from the Corona virus epidemic. Its design is very simple and the robot works perfectly.

The idea of controlling something without words and buttons came to him many years ago when the boy watched a movie about how surgeons implanted a special chip in the brain of seriously ill people.

In principle, the device is really simple and is a collar that is placed on a person's head. It picks up brain waves, then the signals are transmitted via Bluetooth to the robotic arm, and it "obeys". Six volunteers helped him experiment with the device, as the young engineer recorded their brain signals and compared them to how their hands interacted. For example, is the fist clenched or not tightened. Thus, it was possible to "teach" the arm to respond correctly. Almost 100% of the mental commands were executed.

Meanwhile, the device costs only $300. As for the commercial models in the market, their price is not less than ten thousand dollars and they do not work as required. Not so long ago any talk of "management with the help of thought" sounded like science fiction, or even pseudoscience, when in fact the brain issues certain commands, and if they are decoded by radio, is it possible that another brain or an animal cannot accept and understand them? ?

And there is another evidence: a well-known scientific television channel showed an elementary method of controlling a plant with the help of thought. This experiment can be repeated by almost any young engineer, as the electrodes are attached to the arm. Its signals affect the plant, which raises or lowers its leaves, as desired by the engineer.
