An employee at Wyandotte Schools has been charged with sexual conduct with a student

Police said an employee of Wyandotte Public School has been charged with inappropriate sexual behavior toward a student.

Wyandotte police said the district informed them on April 19 that Ronnie James Schiller, 31, may have been involved in some form of misconduct with a student.

“Our investigation revealed evidence that led us to believe that a staff member acted inappropriately toward a student,” the authorities said.

Schiller was arrested on April 22 and brought to trial on charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. The third-degree charge is a 15-year felony charge, and the fourth-degree charge is a misdemeanor for two years, officials said.

Police said he was being held under a personal pledge.
