"Ansar Allah" rejects the position of the UN Security Council on the transfer of power in Yemen

Today, Thursday, the Yemeni "Ansar Allah" (Houthis) group commented on the statement of the United Nations Security Council welcoming the transfer of power in Yemen from President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi to a presidential leadership council.

A member of the negotiating delegation in the Ansar Allah group, Abdul Malik Al-Ajri, said on Twitter: "It is not strange for the Security Council to welcome the Saudi transfer of power from Hadi to Rashad. ".

He added: "Legitimacy in their eyes since 2011 is something decided by the outside, and Saudi Arabia in particular, as the legitimate guardian, and it has nothing to do with the will of the Yemenis."

Al-Ajri, a member of the Ansar Allah movement's political bureau, said that the position of the UN Security Council "is trying to confiscate the sovereign rights of the Yemeni people, falsify their will, and disdain them," as he put it.

The negotiating member of "Ansar Allah" confirmed his group's rejection of the Security Council statement, saying: "This position will not be met by our people except with contempt for him and his companions."

The leader of "Ansar Allah" considered that the military control of "Ansar Allah" over all areas of Yemen would gain the group's "legitimacy", saying: "Our people will fight with their army and committees their national battle until they impose their legitimacy and restore their full sovereign rights from everyone who believes that they have the right to confiscate it, whoever it is."
