Azerbaijan: Accusing us of preparing a genocide against the Armenians of Karabakh is "unacceptable"

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry described as "unacceptable" the statements of the Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, regarding Baku's preparation for the genocide of the Karabakh Armenians.

Pashinyan had accused Azerbaijan of preparing for the genocide of the Armenians of Karabakh, and stated that Baku is preventing the visit of representatives of the United Nations refugee agency to the Karabakh region, and considered that "Azerbaijan has not taken steps to start a concrete dialogue of the international community with representatives of the Armenians of Karabakh."

At the same time, according to Pashinyan, Azerbaijan did not guarantee the safe return of thousands of residents of Hadrot and other Armenian-populated areas of Karabakh, which is "a violation of the provisions of the November 9, 2020, statement on the cessation of hostilities in the region."

According to Pashinyan, "These actions, statements and a number of similar actions make it clear that the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev poses a threat and is actually preparing for the genocide of the Armenians of Karabakh."
