Baqeri: Iran will participate in joint naval exercises with China and Russia in the Indian Ocean

Today, Thursday, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Baqeri, warned that "the armed forces will not tolerate any security and border changes that threaten Iran's interests," stressing that his country will respond "in a destructive manner to the enemies if they make a mistake in their calculations with it."

"Iran has many armed capabilities that it has not disclosed so far," noting that "the presence of the Zionists in the Gulf is illegal," Baqeri said, in a military parade in Tehran.

In his speech, he recommended Azerbaijan and Armenia to solve their problems through dialogue and peaceful means, noting that "Iran does not accept any war or change of borders, and will not remain silent about that if it occurs."

"We expect our neighboring countries in the southern Persian Gulf to monitor the demonization and sedition of the Zionist entity, for its presence in the countries and waters of the Persian Gulf is illegal and destabilizes the security and stability of the region," he added, commenting, "Iran follows up and monitors all the movements of this entity, and in case we sense the existence of any conspiracy or A threat targeting us from him, and we will respond to him and his supporters firmly."

"Exercises with the participation of the Iranian, Russian and Chinese navies will be held in the northern part of the Indian Ocean this fall," Mehr News Agency quoted Baqeri as saying in a related context, noting that Pakistan, Oman and other countries may participate in the exercises.
