Bright names disappear from the World Cup... Who are they?

With preparations for the start of the 2022 World Cup activities today, Sunday 11/20/2022 in Qatar, bright names disappear, some of whom failed to qualify and others who were betrayed by injuries, such as Erling Haaland, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Karim Benzema.

Haaland's absence is a difficult matter, and his reasons are due to the fact that Norway did not qualify, which prevented his compatriot Martin Odegaard from being present as well.

The same applies to Mohamed Salah, one of Liverpool's main players, who is considered one of the best players in the world. Egypt will not play in the World Cup despite its great success in Africa in the past decade.

As for the big surprise, it was the late withdrawal of Sadio Mane, as the Senegalese failed to recover from the injury in time, which left him absent from attendance.

The same applies to Karim Benzema, the French national team player, who also announced his exclusion on Friday due to a left thigh injury, provided that Paul Pogba, Ngolo Kante and Presnel Kimpembe will also be absent from the French national team, which won the cup in 2018.

There are also many Real Madrid players who will not be able to represent their country in the World Cup, including David Alaba, because Austria is outside the World Cup, while Didier Deschamps decided to dispense with Ferland Mendy.

Italy, one of the main players in the World Cup, failed to qualify, leaving big stars such as Gianluigi, Donnarumma, Marco Verratti, Nicolo Barella and Federico Chiesa out of the race. Also, Colombia will not be in Qatar 2022, which means that Luis Diaz, Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez will not be able to participate. ,

As for the tournament, which begins today on Qatari soil, it will open with the opening match between Qatar, the host country, and Ecuador, at the “Al-Bayt” stadium in Doha.
