Brighton crushes United by four and ends its hopes of qualifying for the Champions League

Brighton & Hove Albion crushed Manchester United 4-0 in the English Premier League, and completely eliminated their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season on Saturday.

Moses Caicedo opened Brighton's goals with a long-range shot after 15 minutes of starting, to score his first ever goal for his club.

Marc Cucurea added the second goal after the break with a massive shot from the left side, then Pascal Gross scored the third goal against David de Gea, before Leandro Trossard finished the goals.

Brighton continued to create chances against United's mediocre defense, but could not win with a bigger score. United tried to reduce the difference, but Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez saved more than one dangerous attempt on goal.

United have conceded 56 goals in the Premier League this season, the team's worst record in a single season in the competition.

With this result, the sixth-placed United failed to qualify for the Champions League, as it is five points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, before playing its last game of the season.

Brighton is in ninth place, five points behind the qualifying place for the European Conference League, and before playing the last two matches.
