Community gathers to remember Dakota High School graduate killed in crash in Clinton Township

Hundreds gathered in the parking lot of the Clinton Township Public Library Monday night to remember Keegan Reed.

Reed was killed on Sunday in a car accident near Halsey Boulevard and Cass Avenue. News spread on social media almost instantly.

He had graduated from Dakota High School this year and had been the football team’s quarterback.

“He was a big deal before he played football, he was a big deal after he played football because he was an amazing person all around,” said Tyler Crane.

Reed not only had his high school friends but was also active in the Metro Movement Auto Group. He loved cars, specially modified cars, and it was nothing but a car parade that turned out for his candlelight vigil Monday (Sept. 26) night.
