Cosmetics to avoid during pregnancy

Items to be avoided

For the next nine months and a little longer after giving birth if you're breastfeeding, avoid these products:


Aluminum chloride hexahydrate: found in antiperspirant

Beta Hydroxy Acids: Salicylic Acid, 3-Hydroxypropionic Acid, Trithocanic Acid and Tropic Acid, Make sure they are not in your preparations

Chemical sunscreen cream: which contains avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate, octoacrylene, oxybenzone, oxytinoxate, menthyl anthranilate and oxytoacrylene

Diethanolamine: found in hair and body products

DHA: found in self-tanning spray; It can be harmful if you inhale it

Formaldehyde: Found in hair straighteners, nail polishes, and eyelash glues. Look for formaldehyde, quaternium-15, dimethyldimethylglycinate, hydantoin, imidazolidinyl urea, diazolidinyl urea, sodium hydroxymethylglycinate and bromopol.

Color lightening products: Avoid using hydroquinone, edroquinone and quinol, make sure they are not in your products.

Parabens: Keep away from propyl, butyl, isopropyl, isobutyl and methylparaben.
