Crimean governor: a power plant in Crimea was targeted in a drone attack at night

The governor of Sevastopol in Ukraine's Crimea, Mikhail Razvozhaev, announced that "a power plant in Crimea was targeted by a drone attack at night," adding that "the station was not seriously damaged."

"Today, during the night, there was an attack by a drone on the Balaklava thermal power plant, and no casualties were recorded," he said on social media. He explained that "there is no threat to the energy supply," and that "the accident did not affect the energy supply of Sevastopol and the peninsula."

In this context, he pointed out that "the transformer that caught fire after the attack is currently under maintenance and is not working," explaining that "the facility's employees dealt quickly with the fire."

In recent weeks, Russian forces have targeted electricity generation infrastructures in Ukraine.
