Davis Cup: Lebanon knocked out Monaco 3-2

Lebanon settled its meeting with Monaco by winning 3-2 in the Davis Cup tennis competition organized by the Lebanese Tennis Federation on the first stadium of Notre Dame University in Zouk Mosbeh under the supervision of the International Federation of the game within the second world group.


The homeland of rice has boosted its chances of returning to the ranks of the first world group, to face its next opponent, which will be determined later in the month of March. After Lebanon advanced 2-0 at the end of the first day, three matches were played on Saturday. In the doubles category, Roman Arniudo and Hugo Nice from Monaco beat the Lebanese Benjamin Hassan and Hassan Ibrahim 2-6, 7-6, 6-4.


The fourth match brought together the Lebanese Benjamin Hassan (ranked No. 1 in his team) and Valentin Vachero (seeded No. 1 in Monaco), and resulted in the victory of the guest player 6-3, 7-6.


In the fifth and decisive match between the Lebanese Hadi Habib (seeded 2 in his team) and Hugo Nice (seeded 3 in Monaco), Habib won 6-2, 6-7, 6- 2.
