Dearborn Heights Police Chief Gets City Hall Approval for speed measurement signs

Dearborn Heights Police Chief Mark Myers received City Council approval on November 23 to purchase five solar-powered tachometers for strategic placement across the city.

In an October 7 memo to the city council, Myers noted that the police department receives many complaints about speeding in neighborhoods, and that radars are a way to address complaints by raising awareness of excessive speeding.

“Westland Police confirmed the durability, ease of operation and effectiveness of these radars,” Myers said.
