A boy is in a critical condition in hospital after being shot in the head early Tuesday morning.
Detectives investigating the shooting were at a home in the 18600 block of Stahleen Street, on Seven Mile Road and Southfield on Detroit’s west side.
According to police, a 14-year-old was staying at a friend’s house when someone opened fire on the house, wounding him.
A total of 13 rounds were fired at the house at about 1:30 a.m.
Two other children were staying in the same bedroom with the victim during the shooting, but no one was hurt.
Police don’t think the shooting was random but they don’t think the teen was the intended target either.
