Easy orange sponge cake


Flour: 3 cups

Baking powder: 2 teaspoons

Orange zest: 1 piece

Eggs: 3 grains

Sugar: a cup and three quarters of a cup

Vegetable ghee: half a cup

Orange juice: 4 tablespoons

Salt: a pinch

Vanilla: a teaspoon (liquid)

Milk: a cup

How to prepare

Separate the egg whites from the yolks in two different bowls.

Add the salt and vanilla to the bowl of the egg whites, then beat the mixture well with an egg beater until combined.

Add the ghee, sugar, and orange juice in the bowl of the egg yolk, then mix the mixture until the sugar dissolves and the ingredients are homogeneous, then add the baking powder, orange peel, and milk, and continue to beat, then gradually add the flour and continue to beat.

Add the two mixtures to each other and mix gently.

Heat the oven at 180°C.

Prepare a cake mold and grease it with a little ghee and sprinkle it with a little flour, then pour the mixture into the mold and put it in the oven until it is cooked for about 40-45 minutes, then remove it from the oven and leave it until it cools completely, flip it on a serving plate, then serve.
