Eritrea frees 11 Yemeni children

The Eritrean authorities released 11 Yemeni children working in fishing, whom they had detained, during earlier periods at sea, after accusing them of illegal fishing in its territorial waters.

"The Eritrean authorities released 11 children who were working in fishing," Mujahid al-Qeb, a human rights activist in Hodeidah, said in a Facebook post, noting that "the released children arrived in the city of Khokha, south of Hodeidah."

He stated that "113 Yemeni fishermen are still detained in Eritrean camps."
