Dr. Anna Konovalova, endocrinologist, Russian nutrition expert, announced that reducing the amount of sugars in the diet helps to avoid hormonal disorders.


In an interview with the Russian RIA Novosti news agency, the expert points out that there is no food item that alone can affect the level of hormones in the body. But the proper functioning of the endocrine system depends on the diet that a person follows.


"Excess sugars and fats, and frequent intake of deeply processed foods, can lead to extra energy and weight gain. Overweight and obesity are one of the main causes of disruption of the metabolism of carbohydrates and fats and the development of type 2 diabetes," she says.
