Iran: About 45,000 people and foreign intelligence services are behind the riots

A spokesman for the Presidency of the Iranian Consultative Assembly, Nizamuddin Mousavi, stated that the Minister of Interior presented his report on the developments of the investigation into the death of Mrs. Mahsa Amini.

On September 23, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi confirmed that "reports, evidence and medical examinations confirm that Amini was not beaten and insulted."

"There are elements linked to organizations outside the country, intelligence services and terrorist groups playing a role in the recent riots," Mousavi emphasized. "Estimates indicate that about 45,000 people form a network across the country, some of whom have been arrested," he indicated.

"People who were arrested during the riots and who have no connection with foreign networks were released," the Iranian official explained, stressing that "the security forces in Iran carefully monitor all movements in the country, and they will not allow a breach of security."
