Iran announces Iraq's pledge to remove terrorist groups from its borders

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian confirmed, "The central government of Iraq has agreed with Iran to remove terrorist groups from the Iranian borders, and has declared its commitment to that."

And Amir Abdullahian added, during a press conference: "The agreements with Iraq are continuing to ensure the security of Iran's borders so that there is no need to take direct measures."

In another context, the Iranian minister confirmed that his country is still exchanging diplomatic messages with the United States, despite the latter's contradictory positions.

He explained that "the accusations related to the suspected Iranian nuclear sites are one of the points that have prevented reaching the nuclear agreement so far."

He added, "The International Atomic Energy Agency deviated from the technical path and followed a politicized approach... The statements of US officials are contradictory regarding the nuclear negotiations."
