Iranian Revolutionary Guards target militants in the Kurdistan region of Iraq

Today, Monday, the Iranian Tasnim Agency reported that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards targeted the headquarters of terrorist groups in the Kurdistan region of Iraq with missile strikes and drones.

According to the agency, the ground forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards carried out violent attacks against terrorists in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, declaring that they "will continue the attacks until these groups stop their movements."

In turn, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that "military action against separatist groups is a legitimate response to the violation of Iran's security and borders and aims to protect Iran's national security."

It added, "Our military response is within international laws, and we do not violate Iraqi sovereignty."

Last September, the Revolutionary Guards' ground force announced the start of "targeting the headquarters and centers of terrorist organizations opposed to the Islamic revolution in the Kurdistan region of Iraq through artillery bombardment."
