Kilograms of meth and fentanyl poured into Michigan from Mexican cartels, says the DEA

“Last year, for example, 40 to 50 pounds of methamphetamine was a significant seizure,” said Keith Martin, the special agent in charge of the DEA. “This year we have seen several seizures of 100-pound methamphetamine in Michigan and Ohio. “The confiscation of the 100 pounds we get from methamphetamine shocked me.” Martin points to recent busts like one in Detroit of methamphetamine and fentanyl packed by the kilograms and fresh from Mexico — ready for sale. Fentanyl, which is specifically pressed into pills to mimic other opioids, but one pill can kill.
