Kuwait .. accepting the resignation of the government and assigning it to conduct business

A Kuwaiti emiri order was issued to accept the resignation of Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, the Prime Minister and the ministers, and to assign each of them an urgent discharge of the affairs of his position until the formation of the new ministry.

The Emiri text stated: “After perusal of the constitution, and the Emiri order issued on Rabi’ Al-Thani 10 1443 AH corresponding to November 15, 2021 AD with the assistance of His Highness the Crown Prince to exercise some of the Emir’s constitutional powers - And the Emiri decree issued on Rabi` Al-Thani 18 1443 AH corresponding to November 23, 2021 With the appointment of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled as Prime Minister - and Decree No. 204 of 2021 forming the ministry and the decrees amending it - and on the letter of resignation submitted to us by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, the Prime Minister, we have ordered the following: Article One, accepting the resignation of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister The Council of Ministers and the Ministers, and each of them shall continue to discharge urgently the affairs of his position until the formation of the new ministry.Article Two: This order is communicated to the National Assembly, and it will come into effect from the date of its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette. “The Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, had received the resignation of Al-Khaled’s government on April 5 last, one day before a parliamentary vote on His Highness the Sheikh. Sabah Al-Khaled as Prime Minister - And Decree No. 204 of 2021 forming the Ministry and the decrees amending it - And on the letter of resignation submitted to us by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, Prime Minister, we have ordered the following: Article One, accepting the resignation of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister And the ministers, and each of them shall continue to discharge the urgent affairs of his position until the formation of the new ministry.

Article Two: This order is communicated to the National Assembly, and it will be implemented from the date of its issuance and published in the Official Gazette.” The Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, had received the resignation of Al-Khaled’s government on April 5 last, one day before a parliamentary vote on a request not to cooperate with him.
