Man found dead with slash wounds lying between parked vehicles in Manhattan

A man was found dead lying between parked vehicles on a Manhattan street early Thursday with slash wounds to his neck and chest, cops said.

Investigators are also looking into the possibility the wounds were self inflicted, even though no weapon was found, a police source said.

The victim, believed to be in his 30s, was discovered sprawled on the asphalt on Hester St. near Canal St. in Chinatown about 7:30 a.m., police said.

The man, who had no ID on him, had deep slash wounds to his neck and chest, as well as his wrist, cops said. No weapon was found at the scene.

Cops were scouring the area trying to find video that will help them determine what happened to the victim.
